Wither (Chemical Garden)

Wither (Chemical Garden) - Lauren DeStefano I have several thoughts on this book. One- I had a hard time believing that America would be the only remaining country after a world war 3. Two- what's the deal with a virus that kills men at 25 and women at 20? Why the difference in age? Three- are we just suppose to accept a marriage between a 21 yr old male and a 13 yr old girl?!?! I had a really hard time getting past the marriage part but add to it that she has a baby with him and I had to seriously work to forget that she was so young just so I could keep reading and not be completely disgusted with him. Four- I did keep reading. And I'll read the next one. While I'm not in love with this series yet, I am attached to the characters. I'm a fan of Rhine. I want to see her happy. Plus, I want answers about this virus and Housemaster Vaughn. I want Linden to learn about what's going on and Gabriel to see the world. I want a reunion for Rhine and Rowan. So while I'm not a huge fan of how young Cecily is or the world that has been created, I will keep reading. Thus, three stars.
